"We stayed for one night as a stop over, the hotel staff were friendly and the bar is a great place to start or end a pub crawl in Leek. The bedroom was modern and clean and the breakfast was great."

"This hotel is in an early 18th century town house in Leek, which has been tastefully modernized and decorated. We had a double room on the top floor, with a very comfortable four poster bed and a huge bathroom. Would definitely go there again."

Exploring Leek &

The Peak District

Situated on the edge of the Peak District, Leek is a small town in the beautiful Staffordshire Moorlands offering a wealth of heritage, beauty and authentic attractions excellent for exploring. Overlooked by the impressive gritstone rocks of the Roaches, Leek is often referred to as one of England's finest undiscovered market towns.

Travelling to Leek couldn't be easier as it is situated around 20 minutes from both Macclesfield & Stoke-on-Trent train stations and less than an hour from the M6 & M1 motorways. Leek is surrounded by a multitude of beautiful market, spa, silk and pottery towns putting you in the perfect central location to also discover Ashbourne, Buxton, Macclesfield and Stoke-on-Trent.

If you're looking to sample the delights Leek has to offer you needn't look any further than a 5 minute walk from The Silken Strand Hotel. Leek's local market is rich in heritage being over 800 years old and there are numerous antique shops to satisfy even the most seasoned of bargain hunters. At one time Leek had in excess of 50 pubs, 1 pub for every 400 people living here, so you won't be left feeling thirsty after a long day pounding the pavements. Whatever the purpose of your trip, The Silken Strand Hotel has everything you need to make your trip memorable.
